Vancouver City Highlights & The North Shore Van Tour
Vancouver City Highlights & The North Shore Van Tour Come with us as we take you through the city in our climate controlled 15-passenger van. Out of our large windows you will see such sights as the Science World, Gastown, B.C. Place and then we will cross Burrard inlet on the Seabus for more exciting sights! Our first stop is memorable Gastown where the city of Vancouver began. Founded in 1867, the community was originally named after the first settler and colourful saloon owner 'Gassy' Jack Deighton. Today, the area is a charming mix of old and new with its cobbled streets, antique gaslights, Victorian architecture, and unique tangle of mews, courtyards and passage housing boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Another highlight on this tour is crossing the Burrard inlet on the Seabus! The Burrard inlet is a relatively shallow-sided coastal fjord in southwestern British Columbia. Formed during the last Ice Age, it separates the City of Vancouver and the rest of the low-lying Burrard Peninsula (to the south) from the slopes of the North Shore Mountains. We also include the Grouse mountain skyride and Lonsdale Quay (shopping market) on this tour. On your return trip we will cross Lion's Gate Bridge, which is a suspension bridge that crosses the first narrows of Burrard Inlet and connects the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, to the North Shore municipalities of the District of North Vancouver, the City of North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. The total length of the bridge including the north viaduct is 1,823 metres (5,890 feet).
